Dan Stevenson is a Brighton-based illustrator, who takes his inspiration from the natural world, the animal kingdom, and a misspent childhood, saturated in 90s cartoons and video games. The result? An aesthetic that borders on the surreal, richly colourful, intricately detailed, and bursting with the beautiful and the bizarre. Merging the old with the new, Stevenson combines pen and ink drawing with digital technique, to achieve his wonderfully wry imagery. Reminiscent of 60s and 70s psychedelica, his illustrations open up a world of the imagination, fantastically engaging and subtly subversive. Stevenson studied illustration at the University of Westminster and now works as a commercial illustrator as well as an artist.
